Paul D. "Doug" Williams, 58, died Thursday, December 15, 2016, at home. He was the loving husband of Maryann (Bodan) Zidwick Williams and they celebrated 11 years of marriage in June of 2016. There will be a visitation at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Grace Fellowship Church, 74 E. Forrest Ave., Shrewsbury, PA 17361, with a memorial service following at 12 noon. Interment will be private. J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., New Freedom, is assisting the family. Doug was born in Baltimore, MD, a son of the late John V. and Anna (Hahn) Williams. He served in the U.S. Navy and was later a proud member of Millwrights Local Union 1548 of Baltimore, MD, serving 30 years on the executive board. He took great pleasure in spending time with his family. Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, Mark A. Zidwick, Jr., and his wife Vicki of Joppa, MD, Robert J. Zidwick of Manchester, MD, and Caylie R. Zidwick of Silver Spring, MD; four grandchildren; five siblings, Patrick Williams, and his wife Darlene of Bel Air, MD, Jere Williams, and his wife Wendy of Minn., Dr. Julie Williams of Sedona, AZ, Edie Gordon, and her husband Dr. Charles Gordon of Potomac, MD, and Ann Williams of Lancaster. Doug was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Williams. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doug's memory to Grace Fellowship Church at the address listed above.
