Phillip W. Wineholt

Phillip W. Wineholt, 82, of SpiriTrust Lutheran Village, Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania died on April 4, 2021.He was the husband of Nancy L. (Ziegler) Wineholt, formerly of Glen Rock, to whom he was married for 62 years. Phil was born just south of the town of Maryland Line, Maryland on September 11, 1938 to Ira L. and Virginia (Cochran) Wineholt.He was a member of the original 10th grade class at Hereford High School in 1953.He started working for Koppers Co., in Glen Arm, Maryland, in 1956 as a machinist. Forty two years later, Phil retired from there in 1998 as a supervisor; the company was then known as United Container Machinery, Co. After retiring, he worked at Innerst Sales & Service and NAPA Auto Parts until 2017.He was a member of Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church and sang in the choir for 50 years.Phil spent many years restoring Wheel Horse tractors as a hobby. He enjoyed playing in softball and volleyball leagues. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy, daughter Catherine and husband Paul Upton of Burlington, NC and sons Robert and wife Kathleen of Selbyville, DE and Lee Wineholt of Greensboro, NC; Grandchildren Travis, Kelsey, Jessica and Jacqueline; and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Elizabeth Grant and brothers Edwin and Allan. The funeral will be at Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church on Thursday April 8th at 11:00 a.m. with public viewing at 10:00 a.m.Condolences may be made online at www.hartensteincares.com.
