Ray V. Beacham, 91, passed peacefully from this life on Thursday, November 17, 2022. He was the loving husband of the late Nina June (Chapman) Beacham who passed on June 23, 2018, and the late Josephine Priborsky Beacham. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Leonard Beacham and Joanna (Makowski) Beacham Cicchetti. After graduating from Kenwood High School, Essex, Maryland, he proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Ray was a brakeman for the Pennsylvania Railroad for many years and went on to work for Amtrak as a conductor. As a faithful member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in New Freedom, Ray also was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #8891. Surviving is a daughter, Dorothy Sargen and her husband, Scott, of York; a granddaughter, Kerry M. Lett and her husband, Brandon, of Cary, NC; and a sister, Joanna Hager and her husband, Charles, of Baltimore, Maryland. Ray was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Josephine Rust, who passed in 2014, and three sisters, Naomi August, Audrey Terrell, and Mollie Golden. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a viewing on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Avenue, New Freedom, PA 17349 with a Funeral Liturgy beginning at 12 Noon. Ray will be laid to rest beside his wife in the adjoining church cemetery immediately following the Mass.
