Regina S. Waller

Regina S. Waller, 91, passed from this life on Thursday, May 4, 2023. She was the loving wife of Milton “Bud” Waller and they were married on September 27, 1952. Born in Freeland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joseph V. and Mary Hilda (Deller) Keller. Regina had worked for many years as a RN in medical/surgical care.

She stopped working as a nurse to raise her four children. She took a refresher course and returned to nursing for another ten years. She was a member of Eklo Homemaker’s Club, loved square dancing with the Prettyboy Swingers for 31 years, and she loved to travel. Her favorite trip was a cruise around the Hawaiian Islands. Regina enjoyed baking, loved butterflies, hummingbirds, and flowers.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Edward Waller and his wife, Victoria of Tucson, AZ; and Jacqueline Ensor and her husband, George, Carol Dunning and her husband, Jim, and James Waller and his wife, Sharon, all of Freeland, MD; 5 grandchildren; Jason Dunning and Carly Poe, Jeannie Shaver,  Megan Horst, and Blaze Waller. She also adored her seven great grandchildren; Eli and James Poe, Emmarae and Breanne Dunning, Emmett and Cora Horst, and Joey Shaver. Regina was preceded in death by siblings, John, Joe, and Mary Keller.

There will be a visitation from 7-9 p.m. Monday, May 8, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2 ^nd St., New Freedom, PA 17349. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, at the funeral home followed by interment in Mt. Zion United Methodist Cemetery in Freeland, MD.
