Richard Bruce Armiger, 78, of Shrewsbury passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

Born in Baltimore City, MD, he was the son of the late Emerson Merle and Olive Ann (Bruce) Armiger and step son to the late Mae Armiger Royston.

He was the husband of Janice Louise (Pickering) Armiger of Shrewsbury with whom he shared 32 years of marriage on February 14.

In addition to his wife Janice, he is survived by his two children Anne Marie McGlaughlin (George) and Richard E. Armiger (Stephanie); five grandchildren, Anya, Olivia, Liliana McGlaughlin, and Sophie, Leland Armiger and their mother Debbie Harner Armiger; and Mary Jo Armiger, mother of his children.

Bruce was preceded in death by his grandson Emerson Armiger.

Bruce graduated from Loyola College receiving his bachelor’s and master’s degree from 1972-1977. He had over 30+ years of Development and Construction experience. Over the years, he was employed with The Rouse Company 1977-1992, Prime Retail 1992-2000 and Federal Realty Investment Trust 2000-2004. He enjoyed reading and was a fine wine & dining enthusiast.

His family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Wellspan Cancer Care.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
