Richard Carlton Dillard, Sr.

Richard Carlton Dillard, Sr., 86, of Freeland, MD passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Stella Maris. Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife, the late Dorothy Helen Dillard; together they celebrated 61 years of marriage. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Linwood Dillard, Sr. and Nellie (Personette) Dillard. Richard was a United States Marine Veteran, serving from 1954 -1957 and later worked as a Truck Mechanic. Surviving are his two children, Janet McArthur and her husband, Kevin McArthur, Sr., and John Dillard and his wife, Kelle; two grandchildren, Heather Dillard and her spouse, Melanie and Jacqueline Dillard and her spouse, Charlie; four great grandchildren, Olivia and Lucas Dillard, Aalyiah and Jaxson Purvey. He was also preceded in death by his two children, Cynthia Tate and Richard Dillard, Jr.; multiple brothers and a sister. Services and interment are at the convenience of the family.
