Richard Wade Habeeb

Richard Wade Habeeb, 73, of New Freedom, formerly of NY passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 in York, PA. He was the son of the late Wade Richard Habeeb and Marian Lee Habeeb and loving husband of the late Cheryl Ann (Christman) Habeeb. Richard graduated from James Madison High Schoolin Rochester, NY, Class of 1967. He received his Associate’s degree from Monroe Community College, went on to complete his Bachelor’s degree at Findley College, and continued on to complete his Master’s in history at SUNY Brockport. He moved to Pennsylvania in the late 70’s; he worked at Manufacturer’s Hanover in Pennsylvania for several years and Citi Financial in Baltimore, Maryland in the early 90’s. Richard is survived by his son Evan C. Habeeb; granddaughter, Callie E. Anderson and two sisters Linda L. Habeeb and Diane S. Habeeb. He was also preceded in death by his son Lee Christian Habeeb. A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 6th , from 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA 17349. A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, September 7th at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA 17349. A graveside service will follow at the New Freedom Cemetery, Campbell Ave, New Freedom, PA 17349 on Thursday, September 7th.
