Richard L Masimore

Richard Leroy Masimore, 80, of Glen Rock, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at his residence. Born in Codorus Twp., Glen Rock, Richard was the son of the late Vernon L. and Fairy L. (Ziegler) Masimore. He was the husband of Darlene M. (Beck) Masimore with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. He worked as a full time plumber for Vernon Masimore Sons, Inc. He was lifetime member of Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church where he served as a Sunday School Superintendent, and was a member of church council.Richard was a United States Army Veteran, a member of Jefferson Sportsmen’s Association, Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company and involved in Jefferson Boy Scouts. He loved to read and liked to go hunting while he was physically able. He was also a member of the Codorus Twp. Planning Commission and a NRA member. In addition to his wife Darlene, he is survived by his three children Jeffrey Masimore of Hanover, Timothy Masimore of Fort Washington, MD and Angie Masimore of Glen Rock, and 2 siblings Ray W. Masimore of Spring Grove and Ted A. Masimore of York. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary L. Masimore in 2001. Viewings will be held on Monday, February 4th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St. New Freedom , PA., and on Tuesday, February 5th from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church; 5890 Steltz Rd., Glen Rock, PA 17327 with a funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John C. Dorr, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at the adjoining Bethlehem Steltz Cemetery.
