Richard C. Varney

Richard C. Varney, 74, passed away on July 19, 2021.He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Asher) Varney. He was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Sumner O. and Marian H. (Hill) Varney. Richard was also preceded in death by his brother Robert “Bob” Varney. A public viewing will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc.; 24 N. Second St. New Freedom, PA 17349. A funeral service will begin at 4:00pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. If attending, please wear a mask and social distance as necessary.
