Robert Henry Clark

Robert Henry Clark, 88, of Freeland, MD passed away February 19, 2022. He was the loving husband of the late Marilyn E. (Ryan) Clark. Born June 7, 1933 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Otto and Lacey (Lark) Clark. Robert was a United States Navy Veteran, serving on the USS Dashiell during WWII. He always looked forward to his ship reunions and traveling. He worked as a Machinist for Black & Decker in Hampstead, MD and retired after 37 years of service. He was an active member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church; where he enjoyed singing in the choir and doing pit beef at local Church events. Many years, he worked a road side vegetable stand in Hereford. He loved striking up conversation with people he met while working the stand. He also was a member of the Parkton American Legion, Post 256; coordinating many Spaghetti Dinners over the years. He is survived by his four children, Otto Clark, Brenda Sebastian and husband, Rob, John Clark and Patrick Clark and wife, Theresa; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great - grandchildren; he was preceded in death by his son, Robert “Bob” Clark, Jr. and his wife, Marilyn Clark. A Viewing will be held Friday, February 25th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd St. New Freedom, PA 17349. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 26th at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church; 20901 Mt. Zion Road, Freeland, MD with Rev. Dennis Schulze officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 20901 Mt. Zion Road, Freeland, MD 20153.
