Robert John Gorske

Robert John Gorske, 69, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 6, 2021. “Bob” was one of the most respected airbrush artists of his time; his talent featured on covers of renowned automotive publications and displayed at industry events on a countrywide scale. Bob was widely known for the meticulous nature and lifelike quality of his artistry, perfectly portraying the vision of his clients as his work transformed ideas into virtual reality. His depictions of nature scenes, gothic and religious representations, portraits and characters, and pinstriping mosaics, were products of perfection and often garnered a “second look” to confirm his art was truly not a photo. A native of New Britain, CT and raised in Southington, Bob was the loving husband of 42 years to Desiree (Paradis) Gorske and son to Stephanie (Orzech) Gorske and the late Joseph Gorske. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, are Bob’s three children; Jessica, wife of Jason Allen, Matthew and Michael Gorske; two grandchildren Hunter and Emily Allen, and brothers Ted and Jim Gorske. Bob was a loving husband, father and grandfather and continued to work on projects during retirement in his studio barn in PA, dedicating recent months to the building of custom guitars.
