Robert L. “Bob” “Bobby” Harmon

Robert L. “Bob” “Bobby” Harmon of Stewartstown, passed away February 25, 2023. He was the husband of Ida M. (Swartz) Harmon, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2018. Robert was born in Woodbine, PA on February 14, 1937. He was the fourth son of Lawrence W. Harmon and Anna May (Strawbridge) Harmon.

Robert worked at Superior Mold (Key Plastics) in Felton as a mold setter for 39 years. Prior to that he worked at Stewartstown Sewing Factory as a floor boss. He also worked weekends at Lansinger’s Gas Station in Stewartstown.

His hobbies included hunting in Colorado with his son-in-law Jeff, riding bikes on the Rail Trail, going to NASCAR races, attending bluegrass shows and wood working.

Bob is survived by a daughter Patricia M. Spencer and her husband Jeffrey; two granddaughters Danielle M. Spencer and significant other Chris Hargreaves and Amber Spencer; 2 great-granddaughters Teagan Marie Hargreaves and Aliceanna May Hargreaves, all of Fawn Grove; sister-in-law Evelyn Rehmeyer of New Freedom; brother-in-law Dean Swartz and his wife Beth of Felton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his three siblings George Harmon and his wife Sue, Earl Harmon and his wife Kay, and Norman Harmon and his wife Carol.

Viewing will be on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. -  12:00 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
