Robert K. Miller

Robert K. Miller, 81, of Brogue, died Monday September 3, 2018 at Wellspan York Hospital. He was the loving husband of Peggy Ann Miller for 56 years. Born in New Freedom, PA to the late Charles and Katie Miller, Robert worked as a lathe operator for Columbia Forest Products (formerly Weyerhaeuser) in New Freedom. In his spare time Robert enjoyed auctions, flea markets, bluegrass music, and ice cream. Robert was also interested in real estate and was a general partner of Miller and Miller Partnership. Robert was a skilled carpenter and woodworker, and he always wanted to help others. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Evangelical Church in Shrewsbury, the PA Farm Bureau, and was a big 4-H supporter. Robert will also be missed by the AAU York Thunder Miller-Roth girls basketball teams as their unofficial ball boy. In addition to his wife Peggy, Robert will be greatly missed by his two children: Michele Walker and husband Jerry, and Mark R. Miller; 1 granddaughter Lacey Walker; and 6 siblings: Kathryn McCleary, Charles K. Miller, Jr., Anna Mae Cook, Shirley Joines, Helen Ford, and Dean C. Miller. A Celebration of Life will occur on Sunday September 30, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Grace Fellowship Church, 74 East Forrest Avenue, Shrewsbury, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York division of the American Heart Association at 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
