It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert C. Mott, a loving father, cherished partner, esteemed veteran, and respected member of the banking community. Robert left this world on May 30, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Robert was born on September 10, 1942, to proud parents who nurtured him into the remarkable person he became. Throughout his life, he demonstrated unwavering commitment and love for his family. He was a devoted partner to Carolynne Klek, sharing a deep bond and supporting each other through life's joys and challenges.

In his formative years, Robert demonstrated his exceptional athletic abilities as a pitcher and quarterback at Calvert Hall High School College in Baltimore, Maryland. His prowess on the baseball diamond and football field showcased his natural talent, determination, and leadership skills. Whether firing a fastball past opposing batters or orchestrating strategic plays on the gridiron, Robert's competitive spirit and dedication to his teams were evident. His athletic achievements served as a testament to his discipline, teamwork, and the ability to inspire and unite others in pursuit of a common goal. The memories of his athletic triumphs will forever be cherished by his teammates and all who witnessed his remarkable talents.

A doting father, Robert leaves behind his beloved daughter, two sons, and their families, who were a source of immense pride and joy for him. His ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren held a special place in his heart.

Robert’s professional journey led him to a distinguished career in the banking industry. Serving as the vice president of a prominent bank, he displayed exemplary leadership, integrity, and dedication to his work. Colleagues admired his expertise and relied on his guidance, making him a highly respected figure in his field.

Beyond his professional achievements, Robert possessed a myriad of passions that enriched his life and those around him. An avid woodworker, he found solace and joy in creating beautiful pieces with his hands. His craftsmanship was a testament to his meticulous nature and his ability to transform raw materials into works of art.

In his younger years, Robert answered the call of duty and served his country with honor in the United States Navy. His military service instilled in him a sense of duty, discipline, and resilience, traits that he carried with him throughout his life.

Robert's warm heart, gentle spirit, and captivating sense of humor left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate to know him. He was a true friend, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. A viewing will be held Monday, June 5, 2023 at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd Street, New Freedom, PA from 9:15 a.m.  to 10:15 a.m. A mass will follow at St. John’s the Baptist Roman Catholic Historical Church in New Freedom, PA at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Robert's name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Society as a way to continue his spirit of giving and generosity.

In our hearts, Robert will forever reside, his legacy a beacon of love, strength, and perseverance. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
