Robert J Skalski

Robert J. ‘Bob’ Skalski, Jr. passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020. He was the loving husband of Denise (Volk) Skalski and they celebrated 30 years of marriage on September 9, 2019. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Bob was the son of Andrea (Oldewurtol) Skalski and the late Robert J. Skalski, Sr. He had worked most recently at Shaw Orchards in White Hall, Maryland, as a maintenance mechanic. Bob was the former owner/operator of Bob’s Pit Beef and BBQ Barn in Stewartstown, was a member of the Stewartstown Lions Club, and was an assistant Scout Master with Stewartstown Troop 27. He enjoyed the outdoors: camping, hiking, boating, four-wheeling, and shooting. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is a son, Sr. Airman Kevin R. Skalski of England, and a nephew, Christopher Skalski, Jr. Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Skalski and a brother, Christopher Skalski, Sr. There will be a viewing on Thursday evening, January 30, 2020, from 6-8 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, as well as a second viewing on Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. There will be a service honoring Bob’s life at 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
