Roberta "Ann" Henry

Roberta “Ann” Henry passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 20th. She was born on February 24, 1946 in Joplin, MO, to the late Robert Townshend, Sr., and Jessie (Thompson) Townshend. Ann was the loving wife of over 58 years to Reed “Junior” E. Henry, Jr. Ann met her husband, Junior, in school and they began their life together. Ann was a graduate of Hereford High School and worked for many local businesses. She worked at Graul’s Market, O’Dwyer Catholic Retreat House, Wagon Wheel Restaurant, and was a housekeeper at Hunting Ridge Farm for the last 30 years. Ann enjoyed many hobbies, including gardening, painting, dancing, camping with her family, watching NASCAR races and going to the casino. Her all-time favorite thing to do was spend time with her grandchildren. Along with her devoted husband, Junior, Ann is survived by her two children; Tammy Marsh and her husband, John and David Henry and his wife, Angela; 5 grandchildren, Samantha, Sydney, and Aidan Henry and Meredith and Noah Marsh. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Townshend, Jr., and sister, Jane Hill. Viewings will be held Thursday, August 25, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and at 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second Street, New Freedom, PA 17349. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Cemetery, Parkton, MD.
