Rose Marie Shuchart

Rose Marie Shuchart, 84, passed away surrounded by family at her residence Thursday, May 17, 2018.Born in New Freedom, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes M. (Ryer) Shuchart. Rose worked for Bubb Insurance in New Freedom for 25 years, as well as the HP Belnap Medical office for a few years in York. She enjoyed traveling and loved to spend time with her family. She was an avid dancer and danced with the Arthur Murray Dancers and even competed on a national level. Rose was also a life-long member at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in New Freedom. Rose is survived by four nephews, Mark Shuchart and wife, Kathleen, Chris Shuchart and wife, Christine, Kevin Shuchart and wife, Joy, Matt Shuchart and husband, Brian Gile; and two nieces, Michelle Hrebik and husband, Bruce, and Karla Huer and husband, Wayne. She is also survived by 12 great nieces and nephews; two great-great nieces; and one brother, Henry R. Shuchart and wife, Pauline. She was preceded in death by one brother, Paul J. Shuchart. A funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 315 N Constitution Ave, New Freedom, PA 17349, with Rev. Robert A. Yohe, Jr. officiating. There will be a public visitation one hour before the service. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N.
