Roy L. Hodge

Roy L. Hodge, 78, of Glen Rock passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Embassy Woodland Park Nursing Home in Orbisonia, PA. He was the loving husband of Sharon L. (Mackie) Hodge to whom he was married over 35 years. Born in Fawn Twp., PA he was a son of the late George R. and Flora E. (Creeger) Hodge. Roy was a machinist for 35 years. He was a part-time police officer for Shrewsbury Borough and a deputy sheriff of York Co. for 13 years. Roy was a former Shrewsbury Councilman and was a 32 degree mason with the Shrewsbury Masonic Lodge as well as the Consistory, Scottish Rite, Zembo Temple and the York Co. Shrine Club. Surviving in addition to his wife Sharon are two children Christopher L. “Buddy” Hodge and wife Brigid and Sherri L. Hodge and boyfriend James D. Triplett, Jr.; two grandchildren Fiona and James; two brothers John Frank Hodge and James Hodge. Roy was preceded in death by 11 siblings Dolly Fletcher, Emma Dampman, Elizabeth Howard, Robert Hodge, Nanny Mae Hodge, Nellie Wolfe, Hazel Baublitz, Edward Hodge, Porge Hamptman, Clifton Hodge and Pauline Vannoy. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 30, 2021 at 11AM from the Shrewsbury Masonic Lodge #423, 79 E. Forrest Avenue, Shrewsbury with Pastor Brenda Mitchell officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19104 in his memory.
