Ruth Farmer King, 95, of York, passed on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Ruth was the loving wife of the late Harvey A. Farmer who passed in 2006 sharing 62 years of marriage and the wife of the late Leroy A. King for 7 years prior to his passing in 2020. Born in New Freedom, she was the daughter of the late Daniel S. and Laura A. (Penrod) Hare. Ruth retired from Crescent Industries as a polisher after 26 years of service. She was a lifetime member of Shrewsbury Assembly of God; where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years and played piano for 15 years. She is survived by her son, Ervin H. Farmer (Violet); grandchildren, Chad D. Farmer, Sr. (Holly), Shane A. Farmer (Ellen), Erin D. Malone (Russell), Nathan L. Farmer (Joann), and Travis L. Farmer (Tara); great grandchildren, Courtney Willcox (Nicholas), Jordyn Gaskill (Marvin), Chad Farmer, Jr. (Nicole), Anastasia Brokas (Nikolas), Damian Malone (Deidra), Taylor Malone, Paige Farmer, Dallas Malone, Noah Farmer, Carly Farmer, Faith Farmer, Dylan Malone, (Susana), Cassidy Farmer, Ryan Farmer, Ryleigh Farmer, Victoria Farmer, Seth Farmer, Addison Farmer; great – great grandchildren, Lennox Gaskill, Leila Gaskill, Greyson Malone, Grace Anne Willcox, Lilianna Gaskill, Emerson Malone, Carson Malone, and Camden Willcox. Ruth was preceded in death by her five siblings, Eva Walker, Edgar, Stanley, Daniel, and Ervin Hare. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18th, at Shrewsbury Assembly of God, 234 N. Main St., Shrewsbury, PA 17361 with a funeral service starting at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
