Ruth W. Seward

Ruth W. (Harris) Seward, 95, of Shrewsbury, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ February 16, 2022. Born May 13, 1926, in Mapleton, Maine, she was the daughter of Fred and Mabel (Coburn) Harris and the wife of the late Gerald Seward. Ruth and her husband ran an antique shop, and she worked as a telephone operator and caregiver for many years. She enjoyed being a part of the Washburn Pentecostal Church family and ladies’ group in her hometown of Washburn, Maine, and spent many hours in prayer and Bible study. Ruth is survived by a special family: Penny, Arnold, Valerie and April Wheatley; brother Robert Harris and sister Gaynel Tilley, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Avis Nickerson, Cleo Minard, Lois Burden, Lona Parker and Anna Maynard, and brothers Kenneth, Carlton, Merle and Fred, Jr. Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd St. New Freedom, PA 17349 is assisting the family.
