Ruth I. Wertz

Ruth Irene Wertz, 91, of Baltimore, MD passed away Thursday February 7, 2019. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas James Wertz. Born to James and Ella (Heisey) Moore, Ruth was one of 6 children. Ruth enjoyed knitting and crocheting and spending time with her family. Ruth is survived by a daughter Ruth Ferguson and her husband Kenneth; two grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to Thomas, Ruth is preceded in death by her siblings Ralph and Youshi Moore, Richard and Isabelle Moore, James Moore, Grace and James Kimmel, and Nancy and Paul Sattazahn. A public viewing will be held at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. at 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA on Thursday February 14, 2019 from 10 AM until 12 PM. At the conclusion of the viewing, there will be a graveside service at New Freedom Cemetery. Please kindly omit flowers, and consider donating to a charity of your choice in Ruth’ memory.
