On November 18, 2016, Sadie M. (Guderjohn) Meise, 96, died at Spiri Trust Lutheran, the Village at Sprenkle Drive, in York. She was the wife of the late Claude C. Meise. Public viewing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, November 25 at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second Street, New Freedom, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 26. Interment will follow in St. Michael Lutheran Church Cemetery, Perry Hall, MD. Chaplain Hank Steinhilber will officiate. Sadie was born on June 9, 1920 to the late William and Katherine (Weil) Guderjohn. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting and taking care of her yard. Surviving her are two daughters, Susan E. Hill and husband, Edward A. and Claudia M. Shorter and husband, Harry L., Sr.; five grandchildren, David E. Hill and wife, Kimberly, Deborah L. Robinson and husband, James, Harry L. Shorter, Jr. and wife, Angela, Cynthia M. Blevins and husband, Garry and Kimberly S. Shorter and husband, Scott Conley; five great-grandchildren, Kaitlin C. Shorter, Brandon and Tanner Robinson, Kristin and Kenzie Hill. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and five siblings.
