Samantha Maria Lansinger Caum

Samantha Maria Lansinger, 44, of Shrewsbury, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 with her family and friends surrounding her. Samantha met her best friend and husband, Michael, at age 17 and together they shared the last 27 years building a life full of joy. Samantha is survived by her husband Michael Robert Caum, Esq. and their two children Michael R. Caum and Natasha M. Caum, her mother Darlene Faye (Wyinigear) Lansinger, sister Penny Lee Dillon and her husband Matt, twin sister Leah Lansinger -Shiplet and her husband Jeffrey and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Sammy Lee Lansinger in 2012. Samantha graduated from Kennard-Dale High School and York County School of Technology, with a degree in nursing. She worked as an Agency LPN for many companies and most recently at Yorkview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Samantha loved all her patients and residents as her own family. She had an outstanding work ethic and would often go beyond her duty to celebrate and make each day in her patients’ lives special. Samantha shared her love with everyone, including the many animals that she rescued over the years. When she wasn’t working, she could be found planting flowers, gardening outside with her husband, tending to the chickens, or spending time with her family and dear friends by the poolside. Samantha enjoyed sharing her “handy” skills in carpentry, electrical work, and flooring projects. She was admired as an exceptional role model and will be remembered by the way she treated others with her inviting, free spirit personality. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31st, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St. Stewartstown, PA 17363. A second visitation will be on Thursday, August 1st from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Fuhrman officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in New Freedom, PA.
