Sandra Forbes

Sandra Dawn “Sandy” Forbes, 71, of Shrewsbury, passed away at Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy on Saturday December 12, 2020 after a long fight with ovarian cancer. Sandy was born on January 1, 1949 to George and Grace (Shirey) Wise in Shrewsbury. She was a lifelong resident of Shrewsbury and graduated from Susquehannock High School, class of 1966. She was employed at AT&T for 26 years, and most recently at Saubel’s Markets in Shrewsbury as a cashier. Customers would move and wait to her line just to talk with her. Anyone who knew Sandy knew that she had a rare and unique personality. If you knew her, you loved her. Her family was everything in her life. Sandy is survived by her son Paul Engel, Jr. of Shrewsbury, and a daughter Tammie Grove of New Freedom; and 3 siblings Larry Wise, Donna Schuler, and Mary Lou Lambert all of Shrewsbury.
