Sandra Jean Garrett (Heath)

On Saturday, October 28, 2017, Sandra (Sandy) J. Garrett of Parkton, MD passed away at Stella Maris in Timonium, MD. She was the loving wife of 47 years to Jerry W. Garrett and devoted mother to Kay Rodriguez. Born June 29, 1952 in Baltimore and growing up in Sparks, MD, Sandy was the daughter of the late Charles R. Heath, Sr and Bessie Mae Heath of Freeland, Md. Sandy worked for 28 years at Hereford High School, Parkton, MD.She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hereford where she participated in teaching Sunday school and also sang in the church choir.Sandy loved gardening and flower arranging and being with her family. She enjoyed spoiling her dog, Snowball. Sandy is survived her husband, Jerry W. Garrett of Parkton and their daughter, Kay Rodriguez of Glen Burnie, MD; sisters Patricia Simmons and husband Kenny of Seven Valleys, PA and Darlene Isennock and husband Ronnie of Stewartstown, PA and a brother, Samuel Heath of New Freedom, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second Street, New Freedom
