Sasha Lynn Tompkins

November 3, 1983 — August 6, 2016

Sasha Lynn Tompkins, 32, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 6, 2016. She was the daughter of Terry and Terry (Kellison) Tompkins, and David Tompkins and Connie Phillips, all of Fawn Grove. A viewing will be held from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm Thursday, August 11, 2016, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. The funeral service will begin at the mortuary at 1:00 pm Friday, August 12 with Pastor Beth R. Holz officiating. Interment will be in Fawn Grove Cemetery. Surviving in addition to her parents is her daughter, Kaylee Shackleford, at home, a sister, Nicole Tompkins, paternal grandparents, Earl and Joy Tompkins, all of Fawn Grove, and maternal grandparents, Dale and Pearl Kellison of York. Raised in Fawn Grove, Sasha was involved in cheer leading as a young girl, graduating from Kennard-Dale High School in 2001. She loved Italian food and her grandma’s candied sweet potatoes. She loved collecting frogs and skulls. She was working in food service, most recently at Subway in West York. She enjoyed a wide variety of music interests, going to rock ’n’ roll concerts with her Dad and Connie, especially Lynyrd Skynyrd. Her favorite movies were from the Fast & Furious franchise. She enjoyed “couch potato” movie binges, swimming, playing poker with family and friends, taking silly “selfie” pictures, “tormenting” her little sister Nicole and being Mom to her daughter Kaylee. She loved spending time with extended family and riding motorcycles. She had a heart of gold and would help anyone at any time. In her short time here, she touched many lives; she will be dearly missed. “Semicolon”. She savored being in charge of her own destiny and being a FREE BIRD. The family suggests contributions in Sasha’s memory to: Madison House West, Inc., which is a Recovery House for young ladies, 756 W. Market St., York, PA, 17401.
