Scott E. Eckert

Scott E. Eckert, 63, of New Freedom passed away on Saturday April 16, 2016 at his home. He was born in York, PA on November 14, 1952 to the late Carroll L. and Barbara (Schuler) Eckert. He is survived by his wife Linda A. (Coughlin) Eckert, daughter Christine E. Nentwig of York,sons Scott M. Eckert and his wife Alyssa of Port Orchard, WA, Kyle T. Eckert and his wife Erica of Etters, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Carroll E. Eckert, and his mother and father. Scott retired from UPS after 32 years of service as a Circle Of Honor member with over 25 years of safe driving. He was a member of VFW Post 7012, and volunteered at Honey Run Golf Course. He enjoyed the outdoors, metal detecting, motorcycle riding, golfing, and hiking with his beloved dog Jaxx. A public visitation will be held from 3pm until a memorial service begins at 5pm on Friday, April 22 at J.J. Hartenstein Funeral Home, Inc., 24 N. Second Street, New Freedom.
