Sharon Ann (Slavin) Krafft, 83, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late John Murray Krafft, Sr.; devoted mother of John Krafft, Jr., David Krafft and his wife Stacy, Amy Krafft Bandiere and her husband Brant, Andrew Krafft and his wife Kathyren, and the late Timothy Krafft; loving grandmother of Decklan Rogers, Carter Bandiere, Sophia Bandiere and Jason Krafft; cherished sister of Martha Slavin Spencer and her husband William Spencer, and dear brother Gerald “Jerry” Slavin, Jr.
Her life was filled with family and friends. Her door was always open for everyone to pass through and feel welcome. She was a second mother to more than two dozen individuals who felt safe and loved when near her. Sharon worked and volunteered over the years giving back to the community in which she was involved, such as her children’s schools and local churches.
Sharon was able to continue to give back in death, through organ donation, and help another soul with the gift of life.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Hartenstein Funeral Home, 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA 17349, on Friday, August 16th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. A Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 17th at 11:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave, New Freedom, PA 17349. Inurnment will immediately follow the Mass in the adjoining cemetery.
