Shirley A. Johnson

Shirley A. Johnson, 69, passed away unexpectedly on December 21, 2022. She was born on October 8, 1953 to the late John and Annie Ruth Grega. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Walter M. Johnson.

Shirley grew up in Baltimore where she met her husband, Walter, through her brother, Terry. Shirley and Walter later moved to Pennsylvania, along with most of their extended family. She worked for years at Westinghouse, however, retired from a local company in PA. Shirley loved all animals, wolves especially, football, rock and roll, coffee, and spending time with her family. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. Her hobbies included collecting Winnie the Pooh memorabilia, Eeyore specifically, listening to music, and watching the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles with her family. She was a big baseball and football fan. One of her favorite things in the entire world was a tomato and mayonnaise sandwich, with tomatoes fresh from her garden. She was a kind, funny, and genuine person. She always knew how to make you laugh.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Walter M. Johnson; children, Timothy A. Johnson, Lindsay McAdam and her husband, John G.; siblings, Steven Grega and his wife, Jane; nephew, Terry Grega and his wife, Brooke; grandsons, Logan Johnson and John W. and Samuel McAdam; and great nephew, Motley Grega; she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dixie Newman; parents, John and Annie Ruth Grega; and her brother, Terry Slagle. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
