Stacey R. Lane

Stacey R. (Thompson) Lane, 54, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, January 23, 2025. Born in Baltimore, she was a daughter to Sandy L. (McDonald) and the late Timothy F. Thompson. She was the loving wife of Mark A. Lane.

Stacey enjoyed the little things in life; putting puzzles together, watching her TV shows, and listening to music when she was sunbathing at the beach. Everyone who knew her will remember her amazing laugh. She enjoyed talking and spending time with her friends from school and keeping in touch with other friends and her extended family. Stacey worked for a few years at Giant but her favorite job was being a stay-at-home mom taking care of her three children and the family pets. Stacey was known by many of her daughter’s friends as a second mother. She always wanted to be a part of the fun and provide a safe space for everyone.

She is remembered by her husband, Mark A. Lane; three children, McKenzie M. Wales, Kirsten N. Helsel, and Allison R. Lane; son in laws, Kendall Wales and Dylan Helsel; mother, Sandy L. Thompson; sister, Jennifer Thompson-Mason and her husband Chris; nephews, Ben and Nathan Mason; cousins, Michael D. Thompson and Michelle P. Schonbrunner. She was preceded in death by her father Timothy F. Thompson, and a cousin, Matthew B. Thompson.

A Celebration of Life will be held privately at a later day by the family.
