Susan H. Coleman (Hamme)

Susan H. (Hamme) Coleman passed away, March 14, 2018 at Colonial Manor.She was the wife of Roger W. Coleman of Jacobus. Born on March 24, 1943 in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of late Robert Scott and Nellie Louise (Mundorf) Hamme. Susan graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Language and Nursing. She worked as a RN for 35 years at Bellevue Hospital in New York, Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, State of Maryland Shock Trauma Unit and John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She enjoyed gardening and flower propagation. She was an avid reader and loved hanging out with her cats. Susan will be dearly remembered by her husband Roger, and two step daughters, Deborah Parnell and her husband Gary, Rebecca Marante and her husband David and a brother, Robert Scott Hamme, Jr. She was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Hamme. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA is assisting the family with services. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am with a viewing celebrating Susan’s life from 10:00 -11:00am, on Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Codorus Church of the Brethren; 1129 Dunkard Valley Rd., Dallastown, PA.Interment will follow at Codorus Cemetery.
