Susan T. Mitchell

Susan T. Mitchell, 76, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. She was the loving wife of Tom F. Mitchell and they would have celebrated 57 years of marriage on August 13, 2023. Born in Balt., MD, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Mildred (Binkowski) Shade. Susan worked as an administrative assistant in the food industry for many years. Beyond her love of family and celebrating Polish traditions, Susan enjoyed needlepoint, cross stitch, and gardening.
Surviving in addition to her beloved husband is a daughter, Darryl L. Thomas and her spouse, Kenneth of Shrewsbury; two grandchildren, Ryan and Sydney Thomas; a brother, David Shade of Balt., MD; and two nieces, Nicole Prevette of Middle River, MD and Jessica Shade of Willards, MD.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, August 19, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 315 N. Constitution Ave., New Freedom, PA 17349 with a funeral liturgy beginning at 11 a.m. Inurnment will immediately follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
