Susan J. Waltemire

Susan Jane Waltemire, 72, passed from this life on Monday, July 29, 2024. She was the loving wife of George C. Waltemire and they celebrated 53 years of marriage on February 6, 2024. Born in Dauphin Co., she was the daughter of the late Ned and Janice (Moore) Creager.

A graduate of Kennard-Dale H.S. in Fawn Grove, Class of 1970, Susan raised her three children and took care of her family. She loved music, the beach, her family, the grandchildren, friends, and family gatherings. She was employed by New Concept Machine & Tool, Frankel & Associates, and CGA Law Firm. She was a faithful member of the Eureka Volunteer Fire & Ambulance Co., volunteering as an EMT for 18 years. Susan was also a member of the Stewartstown United Methodist Church. She will be dearly missed by all who had the chance to know her.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two children, Jill Hamme and her husband, Bob and Kelli Landis and her husband, Todd, all of Stewartstown; three grandchildren, Sara Hamme, Kelli Hamme, and Fletcher Landis; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Beth Lyn Waltemire on March 8, 2023.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a public visitation from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, at the Stewartstown United Methodist Church, 26 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363, with a Celebration of Life service starting at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Keith O. Braucher officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at the Stewartstown Cemetery.
