Terry M. Rinehart, 70, died Monday, September 5, 2016 at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy. He was the husband of Mae L. (Collier) Rinehart, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on March 6, 2016. A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 8 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 9 at the mortuary with the Rev. Dr. Mark L. Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow the service in Joseph Giesey MemorialCemetery, Shrewsbury. Terry was born August 20, 1946 in York, a son of the late Paul P. and Sannie F. (Vanover) Rinehart. He retired in 2008 following 42 years with Tyco International, Inc. (formerly AMP, Inc.) of Loganville. Terry was a member and deacon at New Freedom Baptist Church, a member of the Windsor Fish and Game Association, and of the National Rifle Association. He was an avid dirt bike rider and enjoyed collecting knives and pens. Surviving in addition to his wife Mae are two daughters, Shelly Hollands and her husband John of Fairchild, WI, and Lora Thoman and her husband David, of Red Lion; two sons, Michael G. Rinehart and his wife Charity of Red Lion, and Mark D. Rinehart and his wife Jeanne of Windsor; and seven granddaughters, Kayla (Rinehart) Carpenter and her husband Isaac, Jenna Rinehart, Phoebe Thoman, Emma Hollands, Megan Rinehart, Sophia Thoman and Eva Hollands.
