Thomas E. Kerr, Jr.

Thomas E. Kerr Jr., 84, of Parkton, MD, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Thomas E. Kerr, Sr. and Julia Z. (Scott). Thomas was the beloved husband to Elsbeth S. (Standiford) Kerr.

Thomas was a mechanic, machinist, and lock smith. He could always fix anything. He loved animals, and they loved him. He had a special touch with animals of all kind, as though they could sense he was a good man. Thomas had a kind spirit and a giving heart. He was a very charitable man, even willing to help people he didn’t know.

In addition to his wife, Elsbeth, Thomas is survived by 2 Children, Dawn V. Gillispie and her husband, Dale H. Gillispie, and Heather M. Kerr; 3 grandchildren, Sarah J. Gillispie and her partner, Patrick, Kristin K. Clayton and her husband, Alex B. Clayton, and Dillon T. Gillispie.

A public viewing will be held Friday, February 10th, from 11am – 12pm at Pine Grove United Methodist Church, 19401 Middletown Rd., Parkton, MD 21120. A funeral service will begin at 12pm. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
