Thomas Leo Mooney

Thomas Leo “Moon” Mooney III, 71, of Stewartstown passed away on May 18, 2021. Thomas was the husband of Janette E. (Manning) Mooney of Stewartstown, celebrating 41 years of marriage together on May 17th. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Nancy L. (Brewer) Mooney and the late Thomas Leo Mooney Jr. In addition to his mother and wife; he is survived by two children Eric S. Mooney and his wife Jessica and Nathan T. Mooney and two grandchildren Henley and Killian Mooney; siblings Richard Mooney, Nancy Koerner and Janet Delgavio. Thomas was a United States Army Veteran He worked as an Electrician for IBEW Local 24 in Baltimore, retiring after 44 years of service. He was a member of the Stewartstown American Legion Post 455 and served on the Advisory Committee of York County School of Technology for electrical occupations. Visitations will be held on Thursday, May 27th from 4:00 – 6:00pm and on Friday, May 28th from 1:00 – 1:45pm at Stewartstown Presbyterian Church; 14 College Ave. Stewartstown, PA 17363. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday at Stewartstown Presbyterian Church with full military rites provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard 15 minutes prior.If attending, please wear a mask and social distance as appropriate. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
