Thomas “Tom” Bradford Anderson, 65, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022. Born in York, PA, he grew up in Stewartstown, Pa. He was the son of Gloria Joycelle "Joy" (Hulshart) Anderson and the late Thomas Jackson “Jack” Anderson, Jr. Tom shared the last five years with his soulmate, Sandra “Ann” Claypool. In addition to Ann and Joy, Tom is survived by his two siblings, Nancy Anderson, and William “Bill” Anderson and wife Tammy; three nephews, Thomas Anderson and wife Karie, Tyler Anderson and wife Charly, Dakota Baer and wife Karissa; niece, Summer Skidmore and husband Nathan; four great nieces and two great nephews, and his beloved dog “Sox”. Tom graduated from Kennard-Dale High School; class of 1975. He worked briefly for Stewartstown Sewing Factory and York Container Company. He was also employed by Dallco Industries Inc. where he was a plant superintendent in Delta, PA. He then went to work at his current job at Delta Packaging in Hellam, as a plant supervisor, where he worked for 33 years and was set to retire. He was a social member of Stewartstown VFW Post 7046. He was a member, as well as a past president of the Stewartstown Jaycees Chapter. Most people would know Tom as the bass player in the Tanner Mountain Band which he enjoyed playing from 1985 until present. He loved being in the band and playing in front of his friends and fans. His laugh, made everyone around him smile even more. In Tom’s younger years he enjoyed golfing, playing fast pitch softball, where he was a member of both Fawn Grove and New Freedom’s Fast Pitch Leagues. Tom also enjoyed playing Poker, watching sports, socializing at the “Vets” and had a huge love for all dogs. He was affectionately known to his nephews as UB, which will always be a special memory. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the York County SPCA, 3159 N. Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406.
