Thomas G. Trhlik, Sr., 81, died Monday, August 8, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of Donna M. (Eyster) Trhlik. Viewing will be held from 10 to 12 noon on Monday, August 15 at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. The funeral service will begin at noonwith Rev. George M. Schneider officiating. Burial with follow at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York with full military rites by York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born November 25, 1934, in Baltimore, Thomas was the son of the late Thomas A. and Mary (Yurczak) Trhlik. He was formerly of Curtis Bay, MD. He was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Freedom. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War and was recipient of a Purple Heart. He also was a member of Hellam V.F.W. Post #7045. He retired in 1998 from Baltimore Tank Lines with over 40 years of service. He loved time with his grandchildren, enjoyed TV shows and the vacation travels in their RV. Thomas and Donna celebrated 40 years of marriage on April 24, 2016. Thomas is survived by a son, Thomas G. Trhlik, Jr. of Baltimore; a step son, Henry W. Gorman III and his wife Deborah of Spring Grove; a step daughter, Diana Myers and her husband Richard of Shrewsbury;7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a sister, Teresa K. VanNote of Towson. He was predeceased by a daughter, Robin Trhlik.
