Timothy John Hofmann, Sr., 63, of Gettysburg, entered into God’s eternal care on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Born October 5, 1958, in Baltimore, MD, Timothy was the son of the late Francis Xavier and Harriet Lillian (Lau) Hofmann. Timothy previously worked as a Tool & Die Mechanic at AMP for 15 years and most recently at G & S Foods. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, and searching for antiques. He had a love for baseball and was an avid Baltimore Orioles and San Francisco 49ers sports fan. He also was skilled at arcade/video games such as Pinball and Fortnite. Timothy’s greatest joy was his family; especially his children and grandkids. Tim's unwavering faith, love for Jesus and testimony for the Lord was exemplified by saying the Lord's Prayer and in these quotes that he repeated in his battle with cancer, "I love Jesus so much and He's so awesome. All Praise and Glory to God Almighty -Amen", "I am waiting to see that bright light" and 'I know I will be in Heaven when I die". He is survived by his four children, Timothy Hofmann, Jr. and his wife, Trisha A., Lindsey Hofmann, Andy Hofmann, and Blake Hofmann; seven grandchildren, Taytum C., Tiana R., Talon J., Tyce E., Tucker B., Adison J., and Kaiden R. Hofmann; three siblings, George J. Hofmann, Denise A. Bankert and Carol J. Miller and her husband, Randy. Timothy was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca D. Hofmann; brother, Michael F. Hofmann; brother in law, Gary Bankert and sister in law, Carolee A. Hofmann. A viewing will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022, from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA. A funeral service will be on Saturday, March 19, 2022 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Keaton Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in New Freedom Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Timothy’s memory may be made to: Pappus House; 253 Cherry St., York, PA 17403.
