Treva M. Adams, 95, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018.Born in York County, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Daisy (Hershey) Rohrbaugh. Treva was the beloved wife of the late William R. Adams who died in December of 1961. Treva worked as a house cleaner for families in New Freedom and was also employed as a cook at the former Colonial Hotel, New Freedom. She retired from AMP Corp. in 1987 after 20 years of service. A faithful and active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in New Freedom, she was also a member of the Rose Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and AARP. She was known to help anyone that needed a helping hand. Treva loved to cook and bake for anything, especially for a good cause and never turned anyone down. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth L. Adams and C. Sam Adams and his wife, Pat; a daughter-in-law, Faye Adams; 3 grandchildren, Todd, Donald Jr., and Susan Adams; 3 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; a sister, Goldie Calp; cousins, Elsie Matthews and Elma Harman; and nieces and nephews. Treva was preceded in death by her son, Donald W. Adams in 2002, her daughter-in-law, Shirley M. Adams in 1994, and 5 brothers and 6 sisters. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, with a memorial service following at 11 a.m. at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA 17349. Interment will be in New Hope (Fissel’s) U.C.C. Cemetery in Glen Rock.
