Vernette L. Rollison

On Wednesday, February 28, 2018, Vernette L. Rollison, 71, passed away at Hanover Hospital. She was the loving wife of Robert R. Rollison. She was born on January 29, 1947 in Pass Christian, MS to the late Alphonse and Luvenia (Ladnier) Lind. Vernette became a registered nurse and retired from York Hospital Oncology in 2012. Surviving her are her husband, Robert; daughter, Lisa Whitehead; siblings, Gloria Lynn Gilbert and husband, Ralph, Bernadette Jones and husband, William, Alphonse J. Lind, II and Michael P. Lind; nephews, Craig and Michael Thompson; and a special friend, Ruth A. Hughes. The family extends a special thank you to all of the nurses and doctors at Hanover Hospital for the exceptional care that they provided to Vernette and the rest of the family. A public viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until a funeral service begins at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 5 at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. Interment to follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, New Freedom.
