Vernon I Seim

Vernon Ira Seim Jr. of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania passed away late Friday evening, March 12, 2021 at his home.Vernon was born on May 12, 1934 in Baltimore City, Maryland to Vernon Ira Seim Sr. and Thelma Reier Connelly Seim. Vernon lived in the Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania area with his wife Nancy D’Anna Seim since 1975.They had been married 64 years.Previously they resided in Baltimore County, Maryland.Prior to his retirement, Vernon was employed by The Whiting Turner Contracting Company, Baltimore, Maryland as a construction management/civil engineer.He graduated from Baltimore Junior College in 1955 with a Degree of Associate in Arts.Vernon went on to obtain his Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland.He worked as an estimator and project manager overseeing multiple jobs for his employer. Vernon served on the Planning Commission in Shrewsbury Township for many years. Vernon was predeceased by his parents, parents-in-law Margaret Horwath D’Anna and Joseph D’Anna, and a baby brother Neil Eugene Seim. He is survived by his wife Nancy; daughters Cheryl Curcio (Anthony), Michele Voegele (Ralph), Dawn Milam (David), Kim Preschel; grandchildren Kristen Curcio, Adam Vetock, Lea Bertoni, Nicole Reed, Andrew Preschel, Ryan Voegele, and Madison Preschel; great-grandchildren Nicolas, Michael, and Caleb. Vernon was an amazing and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, friend to many, and so very much more.He will be missed dearly by so many. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 3rd, 10 a.m. visitation and 11 a.m. service at Saint Paul’s United Church of Christ, 161 S.
