Vicki Zembas

On Monday, August 26, 2019, Vicki L. (Joy) Zembas, 57, passed away at Wellspan York Hospital.She was the devoted wife to Michael P. Zembas. Vicki was born on September 8, 1961 in Towson, MD to Harry Joy and the late Kay (Polen) Glatfelter.She attended Susquehannock High School where she graduated in 1979.She worked for Giant Foods, from which she retired from after 30 years of service.She loved going to the beach, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids.She always looked forward to the ‘Girls’ Night Out’.She also enjoyed going to the Orioles’ games and was an avid Ravens Fan! The one thing she looked forward to the most was spending the entire summer with her grandsons. She is survived by her husband, Michael; daughter, Stephanie Wilhelm and her husband Shawn Sipe; step-daughter, Sarah Zembas, Rebeccah Zembas and her fiancée, Ryan, and Emily Conrad and her husband Dax; two grandchildren, Jakob and Joshua Sipe; and siblings, Jeff Joy and Deborah Adams. During Vicki’s final days, she was cared for by her supportive group of family and friends who unselfishly took the time to care for her in her time of need. The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at Wellspan Radiology and York Cancer Center for the excellent medical care that she received during this hard fought battle.They would also like to thank the nurses at York Hospital ER and third floor for helping her with her final journey.
