Virginia Romaine Mcwilliams

Virginia R. (Ferree) McWilliams passed away on January 26, 2021, at SpiriTrust, the Village at Sprenkle Drive.She was the wife of the late Clark L. McWilliams. She was the daughter of the late Spurgeon D. and Grace E. (Jackson) Ferree.She recently celebrated her 93rd birthday. She is survived by her children: Michael McWilliams; Debra Schaefer and her husband, Theodore H., Jr.; Joni McKenzie and her husband, Scott; and Kris Clark and her husband, Richard; 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clark; three brothers: Dallas, Delmas, and Glenn; and grandson, Theodore H. Schaefer, III. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and having her family gathered around her at home or at the cabin.This usually involved cooking, whether it was Sunday dinner, Christmas cookies, preserving fresh garden produce, or the frying of hash browns. Ginny was a lifelong resident of Jacobus.She graduated from William Penn Senior High School in 1945.She retired from the York Suburban School District in 1987.She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Jacobus. We appreciate the care and support provided by SpiriTrust over the past few years.Members of her care team became extended family members. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hebrews Café Building Fund at Christ UMC Jacobus, 200 N. Main Street Jacobus, PA 17407. A private family service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church.
