Walter H. Burton,

Walter H. Burton, Jr., 78, of Stewartstown passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of Judy Lee (Downing) Burton to whom he was married 8 years and the late Anna Lee (Armellini) Burton who passed away in 2007. Born in Baltimore he was a son of the late Walter H. Burton, Sr. and Edna (Flannery) Burton. Walter worked as a federal attorney with the Social Security Administration until his retirement. He loved his dogs, playing the trumpet, boating and working on his train collection. He was very involved with his church and was loving, kind, gentle, showed affection to others and was a true gentleman who put his family first ahead of his needs. In addition to his wife Judy, he is survived by children Joshua Walter Burton, Laura Ann, wife of Anthony Devita, Michelle Lee, wife of Chris Trimble, Annette Marie Burton and fiancé Dustin and Jordan C. Marvel and wife Phoebe; four grandchildren Landon and Liam Devita and Alexander and Sean Trimble as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers Kenneth Burton and Richard Burton. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:30AM from Round Hill Cemetery, 7362 Church Rd, Cross Roads, PA with Pastor Norman “Skip” Spangler and Rev. Carol Gathagan officiating.
