Wanda (Bohnert) Raver Young, 95, of York passed away on Saturday, July 21. Born December 13, 1922, in York, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Myrtle (Utz) Bohnert. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Shrewsbury. Wanda enjoyed sewing, bingo and playing the slots at the casino. She is survived by her sons, Lee A. Raver and his wife Kitty of Richmond, VA, Paul R. Raver and his wife BJ of Boiling Springs, PA, and a daughter Jane S. Bankert of Baltimore, MD; 5 grandchildren Bryan, Cheryll, Robin, Jill and Ty; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands Norman Raver, Walter Shaffer, Richard Adams and Barry Young, and a granddaughter Christine Bankert. Funeral Service will begin at 12:00pm on Wednesday, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, with The Rev. Dr. Martha Boyer officiating. Viewing will be 11am to noon that day. Interment will follow at Joseph Giesey Memorial Cemetery in Shrewsbury. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N.
