Warren E. 'Mick' Cummings

Warren E. “Mick” Cummings, 88, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022. He was the loving husband to Linda Marie (Almony) Cummings for 59 years. Born in Shrewsbury, Warren was the son to the late Wilmer E. Cummings and Margaret S. (Blouse) Cummings. Mick worked for Alleghany Pepsi-Cola for more than 30 years as a truck driver. After retiring from PepsiCo, he drove a school bus for Whitcraft Services, Inc. in Parkton, MD. He enjoyed hunting, playing horseshoes, and watching baseball. He also had a love for farming. Mick was described as a hard-worker and a family man. As children had a special place in his heart, he was a frequent donor to children’s charities. Surviving in addition to his wife, is his son Mark Earl Cummings and wife, Julie; 3 grandchildren, Stacy Wirtz, Eric Cole and Ashley Owens; 2 step-grandchildren, Tyler Livingston and Nichole Franck; 11 great grandchildren, Mason, Markus, Savanna, Khaleesi, Jaxon, Vienna, Lena, Dallas, Autumn, Mya, and Jase; and 3 siblings, Kenneth Cummings, Robert Cummings, and Linda Trout. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Lynn “Shari” Cole; grandson, Mitch Cummings; sisters, Betty Hackler and Patricia Hammond, and brother, John Cummings. A viewing will be held Thursday, July 7, from 6-8pm and Friday, July 8, from 1-2pm at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd St., New Freedom, PA 17349. A funeral service will be held Friday at 2pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the New Freedom Cemetery on Campbell Rd.
