William W. "Bill" Burkins

William W. "Bill" Burkins, 82, died Friday, February 5, 2016, at his home. He was the husband of Beulah M. Burkins. There will be a viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, from the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. The service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, from Stewartstown United Methodist Church, 26 S. Main St., Stewartstown, with Pastor Larry W. Parlett officiating. Burial will be in Stewartstown Cemetery. Born January 11, 1934, in Fawn Grove, York County, Bill was the son of the late Roy E. and Helen (Torbert) Burkins. Bill owned and operated the former Burkins & Sons Flooring Contractors of Stewartstown. He was a member of Stewartstown United Methodist Church and a member of the former "Rocket Riders". In addition to his wife, Beulah, with whom celebrated 60 years of marriage on March 5, 2015, Bill leaves three sons, Roy E. Burkins and his wife, Wendy, Ronald E. Burkins and his wife, Susan, and Reginald E. Burkins and his wife, Sherry, all of Stewartstown; two granddaughters, Raquel Blackson and her husband, Justin, and Roxy Burkins; two step-grandchildren, Emily Kandra-Listapad and Christopher Kandra-Listapad; three step great-grandchildren, Shelby, Wyatt, and Warren; and a sister, Clara Kinard of Red Lion.
