William Wayne Brant

William Wayne Brant, age 92, went home to be with his Lord on November 24, 2022. Born and raised in Cumberland, MD, he was the husband of Reiko F. Brant for over 57 years.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Reiko F. Brant; dear daughter, Holly Marsh, and her husband, Rick of Perry Hall, MD; 3 grandchildren, Carrie Campbell and her husband, Chris, Dave Marsh and his wife, Olivia, and Tim Marsh; 3 great grandchildren, Hailey and MacKenzie Campbell and Brynlee Marsh; sister, Nova J. Krolicki of Carroll County, MD; Wayne was preceded in death by his sisters, Lucille G Brant, and Adene B. Stoops.

Wayne graduated from Baltimore City College in 1948 and attended the University of Louisville while employed in Kentucky. He worked in the Insurance industry in Baltimore, San Francisco, Louisville and New York City as a Property, Casualty Underwriter and Administrator for 48 years with various companies and last worked for Donegal Mutual Company on Marietta, PA in 1996.

Wayne and his wife, Reiko, were members of the Mason Dixon Baptist Church in New Freedom, PA and were active supporters of various missionary and Bible translation organizations over the years.

A memorial visitation will be held on December 30, 2022, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am, at Mountain Christian Church, Walker Chapel, 1824 Mountain Rd., Joppa, MD, 21085.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wycliffe Associates, 11450 Translation Way, Orlando, FL, 37862, for the purchase of Bible translation acceleration kits.

At the convenience of the family, interment will be held in Rose Hill Cemetery, Cumberland, MD.
