William Emory Grein

On Monday, January 7, 2019, William “Bill” E. Grein, 86, passed away at home with his family at his side.He was the loving husband of Betty (DeVoe) Grein.Bill was born on July 22, 1932 in Stewartstown to the late George E. and Mabel (Emig) Grein.After graduating Stewartstown High School, he proudly served his country in the US Army with the 88th Airborne AA Battalion in Korea. Bill was a life member and past president of the Eureka Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company; member of Stewartstown Presbyterian Church; and life member of both Stewartstown VFW #7046 and American Legion post #455.In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing, and walking “Daisy Dog”. Bill is survived by his wife; children, Kevin E. Grein and his companion Mari, Kent E. Grein and wife Catherine; grandchildren, Kolton, Cora, Kate and Quinn; siblings, Harold Grein, Norma Hunt, Elizabeth Schaefer, Louise Jones, Jessie Seitz, and Gloria Smithson; he is also survived by his fishing buddy, Robert McCleary and many nieces and nephews. Public viewing will be held from 10am until a funeral service begins at 11am on Thursday, January 10 at Stewartstown Presbyterian Church, 14 College Ave., Stewartstown.Interment will follow in Stewartstown Cemetery.Rev.
